The Pencil’s Promise and the Eraser’s Care

Kids Story -The Pencil’s Promise and the Eraser’s Care

Once upon a time, there was a pencil named Penny and an eraser named Peter. They lived in a drawer, surrounded by papers, notebooks, and pens.

Penny was so good at writing and drawing, whereas Peter was good at cleaning. Sometimes Penny made a mistake while doing her work, but Peter always helped her to erase it and gave her another chance to make it correct.

One day, Penny participated in a school art competition, where she was given the task of drawing a picture.

She was so eager to start it that she quickly scribbled a line across the paper. Then she found out that the line was not straight at all. She doesn’t know how to correct it. Oh no, I have ruined it. She cried.

Peter was looking at her in the corner of the desk. He came to Penny. What happened? Peter asked.

“Look, I ruined my drawing and don’t know how to fix it,” Penny said.

Peter smiled. Don’t worry; I would erase it and make it clean so that you could start it again. That’s why we work great as a team. When you make a mistake, I help and fix it.

Penny, I am sorry.

Peter-  For what?

Penny- because I hurt you; whenever I make a mistake, you erase it and give me another chance to correct it, even though it causes you to lose a little of yourself each time.

Peter – No worries, you don’t need to apologize; I am made for it. This is my job, and I’m happy to do it.

With Peter’s care, Penny finished her picture beautifully. She added flower, river, tree, and sun. Her picture looked wonderful. She was proud of her work.

When the day of the art competition arrived, her drawing was praised by the teachers, and she won.

She knew that Peter’s help was behind it. She gave all the credit to him.

She promised to always be kind to him, and Peter promised, “I will always be there to take care of you even though I know that one day I will be gone forever from my life.”

From that day on, they worked together, knowing that no mistake was too big when they had each other.

Teamwork always wins.
