A nutty in the tree
Once upon a time, there was a green, lush tree in the forest. A squirrel named Nutty lived there.
She was a little clumsy and weak; she often got teased by the animals.
As other animals could easily leap from one tree to another, the squirrel would often trip on the branches.
In spite of being teased by the animals, she was always ready to help them.
On a chilly autumn day, a strong wind blew through the forest. All the animals rushed to collect the food for winter. An old, wise owl lived there; he advised them that a big storm is going to be here tomorrow; store as much food as you can for the coming winter.
The animals and birds started collecting food, but it was hard to find a safe place to store it.
Nutty knew that she was not as fast as others and would not be able to collect lots of food.
Hence, she decided to help her friends.
Nutty visited the rabbit, birds, and even a deer and asked them if they needed any help.
Nutty worked hard all day to gather food and hide it in a safe place. This is how she helped her neighbors.
Finally, when a big storm came in the forest, all the animals were safe and sound and fully prepared for the winter; it happened because of Nutty.
Thank you Nutty! Animals said. You may not be the fastest, but you are the smartest and cleverer than us.
From that day Nutty was praised by the animals and always known as a clever squirrel who could find a way to help them. Sometimes, thinking out of the box is the best way to solve the problems.
